A Safer WRX STI

Subaru has long been known as one of the safest vehicles on the road.  Many times you hear stories of Subaru’s being totaled and its passengers walking away completely unharmed. And now, Subaru is taking their performance car and making it even safer. In 2018, the new Subaru WRX STI will be getting upgrades in terms of performance as well safety.

The WRX STI will first experience a change in design. With larger wheel, the WRX STI adds an additional 1.6 inches to the cars length and 1.5 inches to its width. Subaru also dropped the WRX STI almost a half inch to the ground.  Built as the little brother to the Subaru Impreza, the WRX STI, has enjoyed many of the same safety features.  And now Subaru has added features to help the WRX STI be the safest performance model it has ever had.

Subaru has made substantial changes that will be incorporated into the new model, particularly  in it’s driving dynamics. The new model's chassis has been increased up to 70 percent which makes steering more responsive, the WRX STI will also have 50 percent less body roll and better cornering dynamic. Lastly, crash energy absorption is increased by 40 percent as reported.

Given how the Subaru 2018 WRX STI features safety above everything else, it's clear how the automaker's tagline of "Love. It's what makes a Subaru a Subaru." is more than just that. For those that want performance but also value safety at the same time, this is a car that perfectly suits such lifestyle.
