2018 Subaru Crosstrek

Subaru has an exciting new global architecture that is paving the way for the reinvention of its lineup, one by one, and the 2018 Crosstrek is the next contender. Subaru boasts a 90% new Crosstrek for 2018 that will feature a lower center of gravity, utility style sheet metal, exemplary driving dynamics, and a whole lot more.

The crossover body style has been all the rage with new car buyers of late, so the Crosstrek being the epitome of the crossover vehicle puts it at a great initial standing. The exterior styling may be modest, but it’s a reflection of the versatility and encompassment that it has to offer. The Crosstrek now has a lower profile, an all-new face, and a wider space at the rear for better access to the cargo compartment.

The Crosstrek is now quite small, yet it’s surprisingly spacious. The new instrument panel is clean and concise and provides easy access to the controls and the center stack of infotainment and climate control. In addition, the Crosstrek’s multimedia features include standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and “Near Field Communication” to simplify Bluetooth pairing of smart phones. Subaru is also making the “EyeSight” system, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Pre-Collision Braking and Lane Departure and Sway Warning, available on the Crosstrek. Blind Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are also still available.

The Crosstrek’s driving dynamics are impressive even on gravel roads, which can be just as tricky to negotiate as ice and snow-covered roads, which makes it a worthy competitor of small off-roaders. The new architecture offers increased stiffness, which improves the ride and handling, also makes the Crosstrek safer in a crash since it can absorb more energy.

The fuel economy is 27 miles per gallon in the city and 33 mpg on highway for combined rating of 29 mpg. The CVT gets better fuel economy than the manual transmission available, but towing capacity remains at a healthy 1,500 pounds regardless of transmission. All-wheel-drive is standard across the Crosstrek line.

For those who want the off-road capability and upscale features- but in a smaller package at a more manageable price, the Crosstrek is going to be the crossover SUV for you. Once again, Subaru has set a new standard with the release of their all new 2018 Crosstrek.

Subaru's BRZ- A Relic to Be

The Subaru BRZ is a sports car unlike any other, offering distinctive looks as well as an exceptionally distinctive ride. The design of the BRZ was evidently influenced by sports car renegades of the past, yet it manages to pull off quite a contemporary look and feel all the same. This year, it sports a squared off fascia with an aircraft inspired chin. The new headlamps are embedded with impeccably sharp LED DRL’s that have internally coined the term “hawk eyes”.

In the cabin, sportily bolstered bucket seats and a utilitarian dashboard layout make it clear that this car is made to drive, not to fiddle with the touchscreen. Comfort is by no means at the center stage here but the hard plastics on the door panels and console have been replaced with plusher, more touchable materials.

The BRZ comes with a surprising amount of available features, considering the clearly drive-centered focus of the overall design. The BRZ comes standard with an eight-speaker sound system, Bluetooth, HD Radio, satellite radio, a rearview camera, hill-start assist, and a 6.2-inch touch-screen display with Subaru’s Starlink infotainment system and smartphone integration. Available features are LED fog lights, heated front seats, heated side mirrors, front seats with leather bolsters and Alcantara upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless access, push-button ignition, and much more. Most people who choose the BRZ, however, will likely be satiated with minimum amenities and simply enjoy their cruiser for what it was intended for.

The 2.0-liter boxer four makes five more horsepower and five more pound-feet of torque than last year- but only on manual-transmission cars. That brings the totals to 205 hp and 156 lb-ft. For Subaru, it's not the numbers that matter. Subaru has focused instead on the overall driving feel, an enigmatic metric that can't be articulated on a list of standard specifications.

The direction Subaru has taken their sporty coupe is highly catered to drivers who love to drive. It’s all about the feels, man. If you really want a sports car; a high revving engine, seamless handling, and nearly perfect weight distribution- the BRZ was made just for you. Hungry for more? The Subaru Impreza's Complete Redesign

The 2017 Subaru Impreza has been given a complete redesign- with an encompassing 90% of the car being upgraded. The previous Impreza was a token entrant in the market for Subaru for generations, but the risk of undergoing such a drastic change understandably didn’t overshadow the necessity of changing out 15 year old door handles.

Although the 2017 redesign spans universally through the vehicle, the new Impreza is still familiar looking enough to be easily recognized. The body itself is much more fluid and has been given accent cues towards Subarus desired “sculptural” design. Even so, it’s still evident that Subaru heartily favors function over form- focusing in on aerodynamic properties and a lighter frame.

The cabin has become much more personable, with more expression and organic lines than last years utilitarian layout that was indeed ergonomic but lacked personality. The shining attribute of the Imprezas new interior would undoubtedly be the spaciousness. Visibilty is no sweat at any angle, and the hatchback models in particular offer cargo-carrying capacity that rivals some subcompact SUVs.

The Impreza is powered by a revised 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that now features direct injection. Now more powerful, horsepower increases from 148 hp to 152 hp and torque stays at 145 lb-ft. At 32 mpg combined, the 2017 Subaru Impreza is one of the most fuel-efficient all-wheel-drive vehicles sold in the U.S.

Not only did the Impreza earn an IIHS Top Safety Pick designation, the new global platform improves crash energy absorption by 40 percent. Standard active safety features for this year include blind spot detection and rear cross traffic alert, and when equipped with the EyeSight system; additionally includes adaptive cruise control, automatic pre-collision braking, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist.

Starting at $19,200 and maxing out at just $30,000- the Subaru Impreza is by far the most economical all-wheel drive car you can buy. The redesigned Impreza has a lot of amenities to offer on top of its fresh design, and very well could be topping the sales charts this year. 2017 Subaru Legacy

The Subaru Legacy sets itself apart by being the token mid-sized car that comes standard in AWD. Few other cars offer AWD, and it’s a pricey upgrade when they do. Even with all-wheel drive, which usually has a negative effect on fuel economy, the Legacy also is fuel efficient. EPA estimates range from 23 mpg combined (20 city/28 highway) with the six-cylinder engine to 29 mpg combined (25 city/34 highway) with the four.

This year will be Subarus 50th anniversary of offering its signature horizontally opposed, "boxer" engines in its cars. Powering the 2017 Subaru Legacy is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder boxer that generates 175 horsepower, whilst the Legacy 3.6R Limited is equipped with a 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine with an output of 256 horsepower. All models come standard with a continuously variable transmission, which drives like an automatic.

The Legacy really shines in regard to safety. Stability and traction control, antilock disc brakes, a rearview camera, front side airbags, side curtain airbags and seat cushion airbags all come standard this year. The Legacy aced every federal and IIHS test, and is one of the few cars on the road to do so. Subaru is also one of the first- if not only- automakers to test pet safety devices. This surprising effort was a wise decision that will offer a welcomed source of assurance throughout the imminent endeavors of pet owners.

The new Subaru Legacy hasn’t undergone any drastic styling changes, yet the fact remains that the Legacy can do things for you that no other midsized car is capable of. It’s safer than vehicles twice its price, is fuel efficient, and is extremely proficient. If you’re going to be shopping for a midsized car this year, the Legacy is a must try for you.

2017 Subaru Crosstrek

The newly released Subaru Crosstrek, at its core, is the Subaru Impreza with a tougher suspension and higher clearance.  It offers all-wheel drive, a fuel efficient four cylinder engine, and a roomy interior and cargo area. If you’d normally need a truck or tall SUV for outdoor activities or hindering weather, the Crosstrek could be a fresh alternative that meets your needs and provides additional comfort and safety that can otherwise be hard to come by in a utility centered segment.

If your adventurous heart desires a little luxury- the Crosstrek can easily be outfitted to meet your preferred level of comfort. The interior has a fairly simple and malleable layout. Optional adjustments include a personalized control center, available leather appointed seats and steering wheel, and striking contrast stitching. The versatility of the interior is one of the Crosstreks most useful and innovative new features. The exterior design is at first that of a sedan, with a sleekly detailed fascia and hood and an aerodynamic shape. However, the Crosstrek has more rugged appeal than a sedan with its high clearance and stout tires.

One engine is available in the 2017 Crosstrek, a 2.0-liter flat-four rated at 148 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque mated to either a five-speed manual or a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Subarus unique Boxer engine sits low in the frame- allowing for a lower center of gravity for improved response and enhanced protection over the passenger area. The Crosstrek is also one of the most fuel efficient small crossovers available- rated at 26/34 mpg city/highway with the CVT and 23/31 mpg with the manual.

Standard features on the 2017 Crosstrek include a rearview camera, Subaru’s Starlink multimedia interface with a 6.2-inch touchscreen, fog lights, a rear spoiler, 60/40 split-folding rear seats,  Available features on higher trim levels include leather upholstery, heated front seats, a Harman Kardon audio system, and the Starlink infotainment system with a larger seven-inch touchscreen and navigation.

The Subaru Crosstrek literally looks down the road for you thanks to its EyeSight safety system. Using two cameras, EyeSight can interpret objects directly ahead of the car, allowing for adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and collision warning and mitigation. NHTSA has given the 2017 Crosstrek a 5 Star overall safety score (out of a possible five stars). In IIHS testing, the crossover received a Top Safety Pick+ rating after receiving a Good score in all crash tests. The car also received a Superior rating on the crash prevention and mitigation test.

The Subaru Crosstrek is a fuel efficient crossover SUV that offers a refreshing alternative to the majority of off road capable vehicles. It’s easy to park and maneuver, all-wheel drive is standard, it offers plenty of clearance, and has an impressive suite of safety features as well.

Unwind in an Outback

Named after the vast, remote, and arid outback regions in Australia—the name is intended to emphasize the off-road capability of the vehicle. The Outback is a 5 seater awd crossover offering as much cargo space as a larger suv, as well as ideal ground clearance for large rocks and deep snow, and a roof low enough to easily load any type of gear.

Power for the Outback comes from a 175-hp 2.5 L flat-four that delivers 174 lb-ft of torque, or the optional 3.6 L six cylinder that pumps out 256 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque for added performance and hauling capacity. Both engines are coupled with a CVT transmission with a manual mode and steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The Symmetrical AWD makes for better efficiency, stability, and quicker responses to its environment. It gets up to 32 high way MPG, and retains its value better than any other vehicle in its class according to the ALG.

The interior experience of the Outback offers visibility unlike any other vehicle, with terrific amount of passenger and cargo room. Soft touch surfaces, upgraded materials, and a 10 way adjustable drivers seat with memory function offer all day comfort- a commonly overlooked but ever essential feature for vehicles taking you off road.

The Outback features a premium 12 speaker Harmon Kardon audio system with a 576-watt-equivalent amplifier. Connectivity features operate through Subaru Starlink; including smart phone integration, Pandora, SiriusXM, news, weather, and more.

The Subaru Outback has been the best-selling all-wheel drive crossover in its segment for the past 7 years. The Outback is widely acclaimed for its safety, receiving the highest possible safety rating from IIHS when equipped with EyeSight and HID Headlights, and boasts a 5 star rating from the National Highway Traffic Administration. Although the outback may seem to be geared toward a niche market, anyone could benefit from the lofty outdoor capabilities and practicality offered by the new Outback.

The Teased Subaru XV

The Geneva Auto Show is just around the corner on March 7, and Subaru plans to debut the next “XV”. The “XV” refers to the XV Crosstrek, now just know as the Crosstrek, Subaru is likely using the XV name as a teaser because that is the name Subaru uses in foreign markets.

A redesigned version of the Subaru Crosstrek will debut in March at the Geneva International Motor Show, but Subaru doesn’t want us to know much more than that, so it has released just one, photo of the sporty hatchback. , the hood is lower and longer with a flatter front end and reshaped headlights. Similarly, the back bumper and taillights have been restyled, the rear spoiler is smaller and the top portion of the trunk appears to be a bit more spacious. Overall, the Crosstrek redesign is sharper and more chiseled.

Since debuting in the U.S. in 2012, the Crosstrek has built a respectable following, steadily increasing total sales each year and amassing more than 95,000 in 2016. We are in the midst of a golden age, both for crossovers and the Subaru brand. With a fresh look in 2018, the Crosstrek just might make a push for the number one spot.

The XV will be based on the new global platform used for the redesigned Impreza that went on sale in late 2016. Under the hood, the new Impreza's 2.0-liter boxer 4-cylinder adds direct injection to increase horsepower from 148 to 152 and also improve fuel economy. Inside, the new Impreza's cabin becomes more inviting. It adds some tech features, too, including a new 8.0-inch touchscreen for its Starlink infotainment system, now with Apple Car Play and Android Auto capability. It is expected all of these upgrades to migrate to the next Crosstrek.

2017 Subaru Forester

Taking a page from Mercedes and the styling of the G-class SUVs, Subaru has moved to re-designing the new 2017 Forester to have a more boxy appearance. So like the old Huey Lewis and The News song, it is Hip To Be Square.

The new Subaru Forester, like all previous models comes standard with all-wheel drive. It is available in trim levels: 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 2.0XT Premium, 2.5i Touring, and 2.0XT Touring. The Forester 2.5i and 2.5i Premium both come standard with a six-speed manual transmission, while the other four models are equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) at standard.  The CVT-equipped 2.5i, 2.5 Premium, 2.5i Limited, and 2.5i Touring models all see their 2017 fuel economy rise to 26 mpg city and 32 mpg highway.

The Subaru Forester got a bunch of updates in this mid-cycle refresh. Most noticeable is the exterior, which most noticeable the boxier feel to the rear half of the SUV. The front of the vehicle received a new grille, new front fascia and a new headlight design. And in the back, redesigned LED taillights. All trims received new redesigned wheels and a rear spoiler, and optional is a power lift gate. Inside the New Subaru Forester, things are mostly the same. Changes include a new steering wheel and saddle-brown interior on the 2.5i Touring model. The 2.5i Touring also gets a heated steering wheel.

Harder to spot are changes to the Forester’s optional EyeSight safety system. Available on 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Touring, and 2.0XT Touring trims, EyeSight’s windshield-header-mounted color cameras now have a wider and longer field of vision. Opting for EyeSight on Limited and Touring models also brings automatic high-beam headlights and reverse-automatic-braking to the table, the latter of which can automatically stop the vehicle if it detects an imminent collision while reversing. Meanwhile, Forester Limited and Touring models now come standard with a blind-spot monitor, as do Premium trims equipped with EyeSight. Swiveling LED headlights are newly available and come standard on the Touring, as well as the Limited when optioned with EyeSight.

The 2017 Subaru Forester will starts and just over $23,000 and are now available. Check out our inventory and contact us today to take yours home now!
